The Forgotten Eldora

PLACES 

booming mining town in the Colorado of the 1890s / less than two hundred souls today / the town that was and the town that is / that's the tale of Eldora 

it was once Eldorado / and before was El Dorado - the right Spanish spelling / just a gold camp nested in a canyon carved by glaciers from the last ice age

i stopped at the main intersection for a photo / no cars / neither traffic lights / only stop signs 

sleepy place under the shadows of a nearby ski resort / picturesque old town
