On Excess of Data

General Colin Powell believed that after you get between 40-70% of the information, you should go with your best judgement because excess data often causes "analysis paralysis". 

He wrote in It Worked for Me: In Life and Leadership (2012): 

Don't be buffaloed by experts and elites. Experts often possess more data than judgment.

Information is vital, but once we get enough it's important to act.
