Shogun Wisdom

Life is like a long journey bearing a heavy burden.

From the testament of Tokugawa Ieyasu (also called Ieyasu no yukisho or Tōshō-gū go-ikun). 

This is a set of maxims attributed to the first shogun of the Tokugawa shogunate. Deathbed instructions from 1616. 

Wisdom (Old English wīsdōm): 

Be patient amid adversity.
